Most companies do not need another deck. They need a book — a single object that articulates what the company believes, how it works, why it exists, and where it is going. Foliobureau writes and designs brand books as actual books: editorially commissioned, photographed across the company’s operations, and produced to a standard that makes them last. The book becomes the artefact you give a senior hire on offer day, the document you hand a partner before a long-term agreement, the volume you place on the table at a major investor meeting.

Why it matters

A brand book is the most permanent thing a company can publish.

A brand book is not a marketing document. It is closer to an operating manual — for the people inside the company who need to make decisions consistent with the brand, and for the people outside who need to understand the brand before committing time, money, or careers to it.

The companies that have brand books worth keeping — Tata, Apple, Patagonia, Aesop — use them as a forcing function. The act of writing the book sharpens what the company actually believes. The act of designing the book makes it possible to gift, to share, to point to. The act of publishing it commits the leadership to standards that future decisions will be measured against.

Most companies don’t make brand books because making one well requires editorial commitment that internal teams can’t spare. That’s where the studio comes in.

Typical projects: ₹6–12 lakh per book.

A 60–100 page brand book with focused photography runs ₹6–8 lakh. A 120–200 page book with extensive original photography across multiple sites runs ₹8–12 lakh. Coffee-table-format commemorative volumes for major milestones (25/50/75/100 years) run higher, scoped per project. We don’t mark up print bills.

Frequently asked

Common questions.

  1. A brand guidelines document is a manual — colours, typography, logo rules, application examples. A brand book is a publication — what the company believes, how it works, why it exists, where it’s going — written and designed for the people who need to know. Most companies need both, but most studios only make the first one. We make brand books.
